Most of the major diseases such as nervous depression, heart disease, cancer, etc., have emerged with industrialisation in the last 50 to 100 years. Our grandfathers worked in small shops, out in the fields and so on. But now, if we work in the corporate world or work as an entrepreneur;  we have to deal with the tax department, banks, government, consumers, exporters and other agencies. If we add to this: nuclear family set up,  both parents working, urban living, desire of gadgets, uncertainty about kid's future etc., then our anxiousness and loneliness increases manifold. To make the matters worse,  COVID-19 has changed the world's psyche to the "psyche of uncertainty".  The speed of mind is greater today than it was two-three generations ago. Sometimes we cannot sleep all night, because our mind is very active with the problems confronting us. Eventually, we fall prey to diseases like anxiety and depression. These diseases arise out of  restless and anxious mind. Therefore medicines have failed to treat them. Here yoga comes into picture. Patanjali's Yoga Sutras (1. 2): "yogah chitta vritti nirodha", meaning, Yoga is removal of fluctuations of mind. Therefore you can give Yoga a chance here, with us.
